These are the challenges to which all cyclists aspire, riding epic endurance challenges conquering the most famous climbs in Europe, and cycling on iconic roads
Launching in January 2015 by the team who founded Just Pedal. THE RAID is about completing some of the most iconic road cycling challenges in the world. This is about pushing you to another level of cycling, advancing your limits and getting the most out of your weekend ride. This year THE RAID team will bring you some of the most iconic tours including THE RAID TWENT FOUR endurance challenge and the legendary Mont Ventoux, Alpe D’Huez and the Passo dello Stelvio.
Rob Hawkins, Founder, comments ‘THE RAID is about offering cyclists the chance to take-on the most iconic challenges in cycling whilst combining them with first class service, top accommodation and the best support. Our three night trips, suited to a variety of abilities, will include some of the most famous roads and climbs in Europe.’
THE RAID series will begin in June 2015 with our inaugural RAID TWENTY-FOUR endurance event where we will be supporting riders on the 280 mile, 24 hour journey from London to Paris. This will include a World Record attempt, which will see 10 cyclists push themselves to the limit in a 48 hour London – Paris – London ride. Road cyclists who are interested in taking part can apply to ride alongside the record breaking team and ride with them to see if they too can cycle 560 miles in under 48 hours. This event will be followed up with THE RAID VENTOUX. Giving you the chance to ride the ‘Alp of Provence’ once, twice or three times in a day gaining entry to the exclusive ‘Cingle de Ventoux’ cycling club. A true cycling classic fully supported by THE RAID team.
With these events, and other classic cycling locations on the agenda, THE RAID gives every rider the chance to make their cycling dreams a reality”
Trips start from £650 and include the best possible service with cyclists supported at each stage of the experience. Iconic destinations coupled with first-class support make these cycling events like no other.
